The President of the University, Professor Dr. Osama Nusair, hosted the university's celebration on the occasion of the birthday of His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein and the Royal Accession Day, organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs, with the presence of the Vice Presidents of the university, the Deans of the colleges, directors of departments, and a large gathering of students, at Abu Ubaida Auditorium at the university.
Nusair said at the beginning of the ceremony on this honorable occasion: "The role of His Majesty the King in the education sector receives special attention in developing the educational system, which has placed us among the advanced educational institutions and has been a guiding light for us at Al al-Bayt University, making it one of the global universities, and turning us into a leading scholarly beacon to empower youth through quality education that qualifies them to lead the future."
Nusair added that the words of His Majesty the King after his return from the United States still resonate in our hearts and minds, as they express the deep connection between the leadership and the people and its belief in their steadfast and firm positions. He pointed to His Majesty's role in leading the kingdom both internally and externally, enhancing its international stature, and supporting efforts for peace and stability in the region, as well as what he has offered to the Palestinian cause and to Gaza in alleviating their suffering. Naseer renewed the pledge, on behalf of the Al al-Bayt University family, to work diligently and sincerely to contribute to building a bright future for upcoming generations, equipping them with knowledge and understanding, and instilling in them our academic and national message.
For his part, the Dean of Student Affairs, Professor Dr. Saif Al-Shubail, indicated that this cherished occasion represents a moment of joy for us and reflects the highest meanings of loyalty and belonging to this homeland and its wise Hashemite leadership, noting that at Al al-Bayt University, we draw inspiration from His Majesty the King's vision, determination, and insistence on achieving excellence and leadership, renewing our pledge to be builders of the future, continuing on the path of dignity and honor.
The celebration, which was presented and managed by the Deputy Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Hael Muqaddad Al-Sarhan, included poetic verses presented by Abdullah Al-Sarhan and Ibrahim Al-Khawaldeh, celebrating the homeland. Meanwhile, the university choir, led by artist Ghaleb Khoury and accompanied by artist Raed Al-Sarhan, performed national songs and chants that embodied the solidarity and love for the leader and the homeland. Attendees expressed their deep pride in the honorable pan-Arab positions of His Majesty the King and their immense joy for this happy occasion that warms the heart of every Jordanian.
