Obstacles financing small-scale enterprises in the region of Al-Joufin Saudi Arabia
his study aims to found out فthe reality of small- scale enterprises (SSEs) in the region of Al-Jouf, in Saudi Arabia, to determine the most important financial obstacles facing (SSEs) and to provide solutions that help to address the problem of financing these businesses by testing five main hypotheses related to finance & payments, bank guarantees, and repayment period, administrative procedures & services, and the role of government.

The research found that businesses that have (1-19) workers make upto 97% of the total business in Saudi Arabia, while micro-scale enterprise (MSEs) whichhave (1-4)employees makes 84%of the total enterprises in the country.The paper shows that SSEs in the region of Al-Jouf constitute only 2% of the total small, medium and large scale enterprises. adding that the most important financing obstacles faced by small enterprises in the region of Al-Joufis tightening of bank guarantees, lack of suitable funding and payments needed for new business, slow administrative procedures to obtain the necessary finance. and the lack of facilities in the repayment period loan.
the paper proposed a set of recommendations that include: the establishment of an independent body for (SMEs) in the kingdom, to reconsider the regulations related to government financing institutions and work on activating the role of commercial banks in financing (SSEs) through its governing body.
