Under the patronage of the university president Ain Mohammed Dawoodiya gives a lecture on the upcoming parliamentary elections and political parties.

The President of Al al-Bayt University, Professor Osama Nusair, sponsored a seminar titled "The Upcoming Parliamentary Elections and Political Parties," in which Senator Mohammed Dawoodiyah participated. The seminar was organized by the Dean of Student Affairs at the university.

Senator Dawoodiyah emphasized that we are on the brink of a new and important phase in the journey of political and party reform in Jordan, guided by His Majesty King Abdullah II’s directives to the government to move forward with political system reform.

He pointed out that this requires everyone’s participation and active contribution in the upcoming parliamentary elections, and restoring trust in political parties to achieve a parliamentary system that represents a qualitative addition to the Jordanian constitutional framework.

Senator Dawoodiyah confirmed that updating the political system has provided new opportunities for representing citizens from all segments, moving away from narrow regionalism since it gives citizens the right to choose a candidate for their local district as well as one for the national district.

He continued, stating, "Our Arab Palestinian people are facing one of the largest genocides in the region due to Western arrogance and international inaction," reminding that the first armed faction against the Israeli occupation was a Jordanian group that fought in the Battle of Tal al-Thahab, where Ka'id Maflah al-Abdiyat was martyred.

Senator Dawoodiyah noted that Jordan has provided all its capabilities on both political and economic levels to implement relief operations for our people in Gaza through an air bridge, in addition to opening a land route for aid in cooperation with friendly countries.

He reiterated that voting is a national, moral, and humanitarian duty, emphasizing that young people, especially university students, bear the greater responsibility of choosing who will represent them in achieving their national political aspirations.

The university president, Professor Osama Nasir, also pointed out the need for all national institutions, including universities, to unite efforts to ensure the success of the electoral process and produce a competent parliamentary council that represents the political and economic aspirations of the Jordanian citizen particularly.

At the end of the seminar, which was attended by the university's vice presidents, Professors Ahmad Al-Alawna, Omar Al-Aotain, Hani Akho rshaideh, the Dean of Student Affairs, Professor Saif Shbeil, along with several deans, faculty members, and students, a broad discussion took place where Senator Dawoodiyah answered questions and inquiries from the attendees.
