President of Al al-Bayt University inaugurates the 2nd International Conference on the Integrated Natural Disasters Management in the Dead Sea

President of Al al-Bayt University, Prof. Hani Al-Dmour, opened the ceremony of the 2nd International Conference on the Integrated Natural Disasters Management, which was organized by the Disaster and Crisis Management, Modeling and Simulation Center at Al al-Bayt University, and held at the Dead Sea. He stressed the importance of coordination and working as a team to confront crises and natural disasters according to well-thought-out plans that can be carried out in the region and world confirming the university's keenness to achieve the desired goals of holding such important conferences.

Dr. Al-Dmour pointed to the university's distinction through its center, which is the first of its kind in its striving to network with all institutions to unify joint work towards facing any possible crises and dealing with them according to a comprehensive strategy that ensures successful management. He indicated that the conference discusses a number of topics and issues related to crises and natural disasters, wishing to reach fruitful results that contribute to the success of the role entrusted to researchers, scientists and specialists through their presentation of multiple models and the mechanism of solving them.

President Assistant for Crisis Affairs and Director of the Crises and Disasters Management, Modeling and Simulation Center of, Dr. Moayyad Al-Shawaqfeh, addressed the most prominent objectives of this center, activities and training programs through the available sections provided by plans related to many of the issues expected to occur. He highlighted the importance of the conference, which is attended by a number of scholars and researchers from various Arab and international countries, to emphasize the keenness to benefit from academic and practical experiences and expertise in the face of crises and natural disasters and the speed of response to the events to achieve the desired goal of those important conferences. The conference included a number of papers by researchers who reviewed, through scientific and research studies, some models of the reality of crises and disasters in the region and the world.

The conference activities were attended by the vice presidents, deans, faculty members, specialists from the university, official bodies, the representative of Jordan Television, the representative of the Public Security Radio in Mafraq, and the Director of Public Relations and Media.
