The American Concrete Institute (ACI Student Chapter) student branch at the College of Engineering, Al al-Bayt University, won first place and the innovation award in the 2026 Pervious Concrete Competition, which was held at the Jordan University of Science and Technology with the participation of a number of engineering teams from various universities.

This award came after the team presented an engineering design for a hybrid pervious concrete mix, which achieved advanced results in permeability, structural strength, and economic feasibility standards.

This work was accomplished under the supervision of Dr. Ansam Mostafa Al-Qasaymeh and Engineer Muhammad Al-Qudah, and with the participation of students:
