With the presence of the Spanish Ambassador: Reviving the International Day of the Spanish Language with distinguished cultural and artistic events at Al al-Bayt University.

In a vibrant cultural atmosphere, a special celebration was held on the occasion of the "International Day of the Spanish Language," amidst a prominent diplomatic and academic presence led by the Spanish Ambassador, Mr. José Luis Prado, and his deputy, Ms. Estébaliz López, along with a selection of academics, students, and those interested in the Spanish language and culture.

Prior to the start of the events, Professor Osama Nusier, the university president, received the Spanish Ambassador and his accompanying delegation, where he welcomed them and provided a comprehensive explanation of the university and its academic journey, reviewing its colleges, departments, and programs, in addition to the remarkable development it is witnessing in the educational, research, and community service fields. The Ambassador expressed his deep appreciation for this reception and what it included of a clear vision of the university's path and its future aspirations.

The ceremony began with a welcoming speech delivered by Dr. Rasha Al-Arayedh, in which she welcomed the attendees and distinguished guests, and presented a comprehensive overview of the objectives of the ceremony and the activities included within it, emphasizing the role of such activities in promoting cultural exchange.

Following that, the Spanish Ambassador, José Luis Prado, delivered an official speech in which he expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to the university for the hospitality and warm reception.

In his speech, the Ambassador stressed the growing importance of the Spanish language at the global level, and its role as a fundamental bridge for cultural and intellectual communication between peoples. Dr. Tariq Arar undertook the task of simultaneous translation of the Ambassador's speech into Arabic, which contributed to conveying the Ambassador's message clearly to all attendees.

Student Creations and Artistic Performances..

The ceremony then witnessed the launch of a range of diverse artistic and cultural activities presented by the students, which received great interaction from the audience. The program included:

Musical segments, skits, and Andalusian Muwashshahat: The students excelled in performing pieces that combined Andalusian heritage and the Spanish language, which added a magical historical and artistic character to the atmosphere of the ceremony.

A theatrical performance: The students presented a distinguished performance of the famous classic Spanish play "La Celestina," through which they demonstrated their advanced linguistic capabilities and high acting skills in embodying characters from Spanish literature.

At the conclusion of the event, the Spanish Ambassador expressed his great admiration for the level of performance and organization, and praised the great efforts made by the students, expressing his deep thanks and gratitude to them and to those in charge of the event for their success in producing this ceremony in a manner befitting the status and heritage of the Spanish language.

The meeting was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, Dr. Muhammad Al-Khatib, and a group of faculty members from the Department of Spanish Language and the College, and students.
