Al al-Bayt University Approves a Package of Measures to Rationalize Spending and Adhere to the Prime Minister's Communiqué

Al al-Bayt University has announced the start of implementing a set of measures aimed at controlling public spending and rationalizing the consumption of resources, in line with the communiqué issued by the Prime Minister, Dr. Jaafar Hassan, and in compliance with the current economic conditions and national requirements.

In a statement issued today, the university affirmed its full commitment to implementing the provisions of the government communiqué, calling on all faculties, deanships, centers, and administrative departments to strictly adhere to the following instructions:

First: Regulating the Use of Vehicles

The university stressed the prohibition of using its vehicles except for official business only, with a ban on their use outside of working hours and preventing them from being parked overnight outside the university campus.

Second: Controlling Travel and Official Delegations

The university decided to suspend the travel of official delegations and committees outside the Kingdom for a period of two months, with the exception of cases that require extreme necessity and clear justifications, provided that prior approval is obtained from the Prime Minister. Hosting official delegations will also be suspended, and expenditures on banquets and hospitality will be reduced during the same period.

Third: Rationalizing Energy and Services Consumption

The university administration directed the cessation of operating air conditioners and heating appliances inside the university facilities, as part of an integrated plan aimed at reducing the energy bill and promoting a culture of conservation among employees and students.

Fourth: Continuing Financial Control Measures

The university affirmed that these steps come as an extension of a policy followed for years in promoting financial and administrative discipline, and in accordance with the previous decisions of the Council of Ministers related to rationalizing spending.
