Al al-Bayt University Concludes Debate Championship with Participation of Universities from the Central and Northern Regions and Wins First Place

The debate championship, which was held over three days, starting on the morning of Monday, 12/8/2025, with the participation of eight universities from the central and northern regions of the Kingdom, concluded today, Wednesday, 12/10/2025, at Al al-Bayt University.


The championship witnessed strong competitions between the participating teams, which ended with the qualification of the Al-Hussein Technical University team and the Al al-Bayt University team to the final round, where the final debate revolved around the statement: "This council believes in the need to publish the names of food factories and companies that violate the Public Health Law."


With outstanding performance and constructive dialogue supported by arguments and evidence, the Al al-Bayt University team was able to win the championship and win first place, based on the evaluation of a specialized external judging committee.


At the conclusion of the event, the seven participating universities were honored, shields were presented to the six referees, and certificates were distributed to all participating students. The closing ceremony was sponsored by the Vice President for Financial Affairs and Investment, Professor Dr. Marei Bani Khaled, on behalf of the President, in the presence of the Dean of Student Affairs, Professor Dr. Ahmed Alimat, a number of professors and administrators. The head of the student organizations division, Mr. Muhammad Shawaqfeh, also received the shield for first place amidst an atmosphere of joy and pride.


The organizers of the championship affirmed that such debates are a real educational environment that contributes to shaping the student's personality, developing critical thinking skills, building the ability to dialogue and respect the opinions of others, and enhancing self-confidence, calling on university students to participate in dialogue activities due to their pivotal role in preparing a conscious generation capable of leading the future.
