The Al-Bayt University College of Political Science and International Studies organized a meeting and reception for new students to inform them of the college's objectives, programs, future plans, and specializations it teaches. The meeting, which was introductory and interactive, was attended by the Dean, Professor Ahed Abu Dheeb, and faculty members. It aimed to educate students about university regulations and instructions, mechanisms for engaging in university life, and the standards, instructions, and laws governing the university, and was held in the Prince Hassan bin Talal Amphitheater at the College of Engineering.
At the beginning, the Dean of the College, Professor Ahed Abu Dheeb, congratulated the new students on behalf of the President of the University, Professor Osama Nusier, on their choice of the university to study at, stressing that the college is a beacon of knowledge, analysis, and critical thinking, and it is the place where young people's awareness of the issues of the nation and the homeland is refined. He urged them to make their time an opportunity to acquire skills, enhance self-confidence, and commit to the values of respect and responsibility.
During the meeting, Abu Dheeb affirmed the college's keenness to provide a stimulating academic environment that contributes to developing students' intellectual abilities and refining their research skills in line with the requirements of the labor market. He also stressed the importance of adhering to university values and the ethics of university students, and working with a spirit of responsibility and belonging.
The Deputy Dean, Professor Muhammad Al-Daradkeh, urged students to hone their talents by engaging in extracurricular activities and events held at the university through its various centers, deanships, and departments. He also pointed out the need for planning, organization, life skills, and commitment to the guiding plan.
Professor Sayel Al-Sarhan, Dean of the College of Graduate Studies, also addressed behavior within the university and positivity as important factors for the student that contribute to raising his level and reflect his performance in conveying a positive image of the university.
In his intervention, the Director of Public Relations and Media, Nasser Shbeil, presented a set of guidelines and advice to students, calling on them to exercise accuracy and caution in dealing with news platforms, and to follow university announcements through its official platforms on social media, stressing that the Public Relations Department opens its doors to students to participate in broadcasting the university's voice through dialogue programs or various student creations.
At the conclusion of the meeting, an open dialogue took place during which the Dean of the College answered students' questions and inquiries, stressing the college's constant readiness to provide them with academic and guidance support to ensure their successful university career.
