As part of a series of activities carried out by the Deanship of Student Affairs through the Political Education Department, the Political Education Department, in cooperation with the Jordanian Political Science Association, organized a seminar entitled "On Promoting Political Participation for University Students." The speakers included the head of the association, Dr. Khaled Shneikat, and a member of the association, Dr. Hani Al-Sarhan, in the presence of the assistants to the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Hanan Al-Momeni and Dr. Lotfi Al-Masaeed, and the Director of the Political Education Department, Abdel Halim Abu Dalbouh, in the Al-Bakhit Auditorium at the College of Business at the University.

Dr. Khaled Shneikat stressed during the seminar that promoting political participation for young people is a fundamental pillar in building a democratic society, pointing out that universities represent a fertile environment for qualifying young cadres and raising their awareness of national issues. He also pointed out the importance of this type of activity in developing political awareness among students, stressing the association's keenness to open dialogue spaces in universities that allow students to express their opinions and discuss national issues that concern their future and their society, in light of the political updates that Jordan is witnessing to enhance political participation and build student awareness among university students, explaining the most prominent democratic indicators, the life equation, and involvement in public work.

Dr. Hani Al-Sarhan, a member of the association, explained the importance of this type of activity in developing political awareness among students, stressing the association's keenness to provide an opportunity to meet with university students, learn about their opinions, and build on them, and to put forward solutions and recommendations that would encourage students to engage consciously and responsibly in party life, within legal and democratic frameworks that guarantee freedom of opinion and belonging.

The holding of this seminar, which was attended by a large number of university students, aims to raise the level of political awareness among university students and enhance their role in public life and decision-making.​
