On the occasion of the International Day against Drug Abuse, Al al-Bayt University, in cooperation with the Directorate of Media and Community Police, launches the mobile exhibition under the slogan:

"With the determination of youth, we fight drugs"

The Assistant Governor of Mafraq, Muhammad Al-Malikawi, on behalf of the Governor, opened the mobile exhibition to combat drugs, which was organized by the Department of Cultural Activities at the Deanship of Student Affairs at Al al-Bayt University in cooperation with the Public Security Directorate, in the presence of the Dean of Student Affairs, Professor Dr. Saif Al-Shubiel, a number of security and official officials in the governorate, and a number of sheikhs, dignitaries and concerned people. This exhibition coincides with the International Day against Drug Abuse, which this year carries the slogan "With the determination of youth, we fight drugs", in affirmation of the role of universities in addressing this serious scourge.

For his part, the President of Al al-Bayt University, Professor Dr. Osama Nusair, praised the efforts of the Public Security Directorate in service of the country, as well as its efforts through the ranks of the community police towards universities, educational and pedagogical institutions, its interest in the student and youth categories, and opening channels of community communication with the aim of spreading awareness in all governorates.

He added that Al al-Bayt University, in its extended partnership with the Public Security Directorate, stems from its active role in enriching society with knowledge, enhancing national responsibility among students and protecting them from wrong behaviors, and strengthening their role as active and responsible Jordanian youth, pointing out that the University implements a number of awareness, cultural programs, training courses, and workshops related to educating students about the dangers of the drug scourge.

The Dean of Student Affairs, Professor Dr. Saif Al-Shubiel, affirmed the University’s commitment to its national role in combating drugs through awareness and education, stressing that the University constitutes an influential scientific and youth platform through which national values ​​can be consolidated and conscious behavior among students can be enhanced, stressing the importance of enhancing community awareness and continuing joint work between educational and security institutions.

During their tour of the mobile exhibition, the attendees praised the great efforts made by the security services in combating drugs, whether in terms of combating, prevention and treatment, stressing that the level of efficiency they have reached is a source of pride and honor.

The event, which was coordinated by the Deputy Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Hayel Al-Sarhan, and the Director of the Department of Cultural and Social Activities, Muhammad Basbous, witnessed a wide attendance from official and security leaders and dignitaries from the local community, and a number of faculty and administrative staff and university students, in which the Public Security Music played musical performances in the courtyard of the Deanship of Student Affairs in an interactive atmosphere that embodied the message of the exhibition and the importance of concerted community efforts to combat this serious scourge.
