Al al-Bayt University's Faculty of Business Organizes the Second Scientific Career Day for the Accounting Department
The Vice President of the University for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Professor Omar Al-Ateen, sponsored the activities of the Second Scientific Career Day of the Accounting Department under the title "Accounting and Auditing in the Digital Age: Future Job Opportunities," in the presence of the Dean of the College, Professor Marai Bani Khaled.
In it, the Vice President, Professor Omar Al-Ateen, affirmed that this scientific and career meeting represents a true translation of the university's mission in strengthening the integration between the academic and applied aspects, linking students to the reality of the labor market, and directing them towards future skills that ensure their readiness and excellence in a world characterized by speed and change.
Al-Ateen added that at Al al-Bayt University, we affirm our continued commitment to developing academic curricula and programs in line with modern digital changes and supporting all initiatives that enhance students' opportunities to engage in the labor market.
The Dean of the College, Professor Marai Bani Khaled, indicated that this distinguished scientific forum embodies the commitment of the college and the department to keep pace with the rapid developments in light of the digital transformation, which imposes new challenges and opportunities at the scientific and professional levels, appreciating the accuracy of the organization, the diversity of topics, and the quality of participation in a way that ensures the development of the educational environment and the development of the relationship with students to face the challenges of the digital age, stressing that students are the core of the educational process and partners in shaping the future and contributing to building a national economy based on the knowledge economy and innovation.
For his part, the Head of the Accounting Department and Head of the Scientific Career Day Committee for the Accounting Department, Dr. Saqr Al-Tahhat, said that this Career Day embodies the department's keenness to continue keeping pace with the rapid transformations in the accounting profession and linking the academic aspect with the practical aspect to prepare graduates with a high level of competence and readiness for the requirements of the labor market with the support of the university and the college and strengthening the partnership with civil society and the business environment.
The first scientific session was held, chaired by Professor Abdul Rahman Al-Dalabih, in which Mr. Munir Abu Al-Rub from Dalalat for Accounting Solutions and Marketing spoke about digital accounting and the latest software used in accounting and auditing, stressing that digital transformation opens up wide horizons of opportunities and challenges, starting with improving the quality of financial reports and discovering financial manipulation.
The second session was held, chaired by Dr. Mhd Al-Hadab, in which Mr. Muhammad Al-Salman from Sarh Global for Consulting and Training spoke about the professional certificates available to accounting students and the requirements for obtaining them, which include three tracks: financial accounting, external auditing, and internal auditing.
The Director of the Consulting, Training and Capacity Building Center at Al al-Bayt University, Dr. Saif Rababaa, presented a definition of the services provided by the center, including training courses, professional diplomas, technical diplomas, technical consultations, and agreements that focus on skills and gaining experience for job seekers.
The third session was chaired by Professor Odeh Bani Ahmed, in which Dr. Akram Al-Najdawi from the Tax Center and Competency Development spoke about digital accounting and the reality of tax auditing, stressing the need to acquire cognitive, accounting and technical skills that enable the student to enter the labor market in the rapidly accelerating digital age.
Meanwhile, student Mahmoud Ali from Al Hussein Technical University, in cooperation with the Crown Prince Foundation, spoke about the Al Ghurair STEM Scholarship provided by the HTUx platform, an educational initiative for Arab students specializing in skills and technologies in the field of business technology, engineering, and accounting.
At the end of the scientific day, which was presented by Dr. Diaa Al-Suraiheen and attended by the Deputy Dean and member of the organizing committee, Dr. Nofan Alimat, Dr. Abdullah Al-Zoubi, and a number of heads of departments and faculty members at the college, the Vice President, Professor Omar Al-Ateen, in the presence of the Dean of the College, Professor Marai Bani Khaled, presented honorary shields and certificates of appreciation to the participants and supporters of the Scientific Career Day.
It is noteworthy that Dalalat for Accounting Solutions and Marketing, Sarh Global for Consulting and Training, and the Tax Center and Competency Development provided free training courses and real discounts to university students in the field of accounting courses, and Khairat Al-Shamal Company, represented by its General Manager, Mr. Khairo Al-Arqan, provided support for the success of this scientific career day.
