Smart Robot Competition at Al al-Bayt University
The Prince Hussein bin Abdullah College of Information Technology at Al al-Bayt University organized a robot competition titled "Line Following Competition." The college dean, Dr. Mohamed Jaradat, confirmed that the competition represents a unique opportunity to observe challenges among smart robots using the latest artificial intelligence and autonomous control technologies, and it allows students to interact with technological innovations.
The competition involved a contest between robots to navigate designated paths in the shortest time and with the fewest violations, with the presence of the judging panel consisting of Dr. Amjad Quteish, Dr. Suhailah Abu Oweida, Engineer Marwa Al-Hebrawi, and student Bashar Harahsheh.
The competition was also attended by the director of the university's computer center, Dr. Wael Qasas, along with a number of students and interested parties. The teams that won the top three positions received advanced control boards as prizes to assist the students in their academic journey.
The first place was won by Galaxy Impact, comprised of student Bashar Shuqur and student Asil Ma'ayta.
In second place was Path Seekers, consisting of student Manar Abu Rashid, student Marah Al-Qanbar, and student Rama Audat.
In third place was Baymax, represented by student Noor Imad Arshid.
