On behalf of the university president, the Vice President for Administrative and Legal Affairs, Dr. Omar Al-Ateen, inaugurated the exhibition organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs in collaboration with the Civil Defense Directorate of Mafraq in celebration of the International Civil Defense Day. The event was attended by the Director of Mafraq Police, Brigadier Awad Al-Lababdeh, the Director of Mafraq Civil Defense, Colonel Muhammad Abu Al-Zinat, the Deputy Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Hael Al-Sarhan, and the head of the Community Police Department, Captain Muhammad Al-Rousan, at the courtyard of the Quraish Complex at the university.

The university president's representative, Dr. Al-Ateen, accompanied by the Director of Mafraq Civil Defense and attendees, toured the exhibition of vehicles and equipment, where they observed the most prominent technologies used in fieldwork for civil defense, and listened to a detailed explanation about the latest devices used in the civil defense system and their effective role in civil protection, such as the mass ambulance bus, fully equipped fire trucks, and rescue and diving equipment. The exhibition also included blood pressure and diabetes screenings.

Dr. Al-Ateen congratulated, on behalf of the university family, on this day when the university and Jordan join the world in celebrating civil defense, which is observed on March 1 each year, emphasizing the importance of cooperation and coordination with all official institutions to hold such initiatives and their tangible impact in raising awareness within academic institutions.​​
