With great sorrow and grief, the family of Al al-Bayt University, represented by its President, Professor Dr. Osama Nusair, and the educational and administrative staff and students, mourns the passing of the wife of His Excellency Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamad bin Suleiman al-Khalili, the Grand Mufti of the Sultanate of Oman, and the mother of Sheikh Dr. Abdul Rahman al-Khalili. We ask God to envelop the deceased in His vast mercy and favor, and to grant her family and relatives patience, solace, and comfort in this time of mourning. Indeed, we belong to God and to Him we shall return.​
