Al al-Bayt University participates in the first international conference on midwifery in the United Arab Emirates.
At the invitation of the President of the Emirates Nursing Association and the President of the Emirates Midwifery Association, Dr. Sherine Hamadna, a faculty member at the Nursing College at Al-Bayt University, participated as a "guest speaker" in the first International Midwifery Conference in the United Arab Emirates. Dr. Sherine Hamadna delivered a lecture on proper methods for caring for infants and preventing sudden infant death. She also discussed the impact of cultural practices, customs, traditions, and beliefs on infant care. Additionally, she addressed challenges in providing safe and healthy care for pregnant women and infants in the context of refugee situations. Topics on vaccination programs for pregnant women and children, as well as challenges during crises, disasters, and wars, and their effects on the health and safety of generations, were also discussed.
