A workshop titled "The Most Important Engineering Training Courses and Labor Market Needs"
The Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Muayed Shawaqfeh, inaugurated a seminar titled "The Most Important Engineering Training Courses and Labor Market Needs" for engineering students at Al al-Bayt University. The seminar was attended by Engineer Marah Talilan, Director of the Mithaqq Al-Ilm Academy for Training and Development, Dr. Ali Khwaldeh, Head of the Electrical Engineering Division at the Engineers Syndicate, Engineer Shaker Khalif, a member of the Architectural Division Board at the Engineers Syndicate, and Engineer Muhammad Khwaldeh, a representative from the Mithaqq Al-Ilm Academy for Training and Development, along with the deputies and assistants of the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, department heads, several faculty members, and students, held at the Hassan bin Talal Auditorium at Al al-Bayt University.
Dr. Shawaqfeh spoke about the college's efforts to organize such seminars and events as a systematic plan to assist students during their studies and upon graduation. He emphasized the importance of training days for engineering students in various specializations and discussed the ongoing relationship with the Engineers Syndicate, which graduates will join in the future as members and colleagues in the profession, wishing them success.
Initially, Engineer Muhammad Khwaldeh introduced civil engineering, its departments, various programs, and the fields of civil engineers, noting that graduates of civil engineering have many training opportunities within the Engineers Syndicate, including a full year of training there. He also discussed the role of the academy in providing numerous specialized courses for various engineering programs to prepare engineering graduates for work in their fields and gain practical experience during training.
Engineer Shaker Khalif talked about training programs in the Architecture Division at the Engineers Syndicate and the launch of a special program for architects within engineering offices on how to practice engineering work by training them through architectural experts to help them integrate into the labor market. He added that excellence in the specialization requires creating job opportunities rather than searching for them and understanding the labor market's needs in comparison to the number of engineering graduates annually.
Dr. Ali Khwaldeh provided an explanation about the Engineers Syndicate, the number of its members, and the hundreds of specialized courses it offers. He discussed the needs of the labor market, stating that outstanding students have a place through those courses.
The speakers agreed on the importance of specialized courses and training paths for engineering students and graduates alongside their academic degrees, according to the labor market's needs for each specialization.
At the end of the seminar, which was moderated by Dr. Milad Alaimat from the Faculty of Engineering and Engineer Muhammad Khwaldeh from the academy, commemorative plaques were exchanged, and free courses were offered through a raffle conducted by the academy's director, Engineer Marah Talilan.
