Opening of the Beginner Referees Volleyball Course at Al Albayt University
On Sunday, December 8, 2024, the Dean of the College of Educational Sciences, Professor Youssef Al-Maqdadi, inaugurated the beginners' referees course in volleyball in collaboration with the Jordanian Volleyball Federation. He welcomed the international referees and lecturers from the federation, expressing his gratitude and appreciation for their acceptance of the invitation. He added that today’s job market does not only require a university degree but also necessitates training courses. For her part, the head of the Physical Education Department, Dr. Maisaloun Al-Shadeed, praised the importance of these courses in shaping the personality of the student. Dr. Abdullah Khataibeh, the course coordinator, explained the details of the lectures, their timings, and the practical and theoretical tests. Professors Walid Al-Najjar and Ahmad Badarni, the federation's lecturers, concluded with words of thanks and appreciation to the university, emphasizing the ongoing cooperation between the university and the Jordanian Volleyball Federation.
On Saturday, December 14, 2024, the course concluded with practical and theoretical tests. Dr. Abdullah Khataibeh confirmed that the preliminary results of the tests were positive, noting that some students would excel and join the ranks of the referees of the Jordanian Volleyball Federation.
