Vision and Mission

 

The faculty of Earth and Environmental Sciences aims at serving the local community, and local and national institutions by providing multiple and different services through its qualified courses with regard to awareness of various natural resources, environmental awareness, exploitation of geographic information systems and remote sensing techniques, geophysical consultations, and others. 


The faculty is looking forward to expanding academic programs, developing study plans and ensuring their quality to achieve local and international accreditations such as (ABET). It has laboratories for minerals, rocks, mineral optics, hydrochemistry, geochemistry, engineering geology and fossils. It also has computer laboratories equipped with special software for teaching geographic information systems and remote sensing courses. The faculty always encourages its students through environmental volunteer work and open days, to achieve communication among students, faculty members and the local community, which maximizes the benefit for all parties and for the benefit of its students and graduates when they join the labor market. It seeks to provide the appropriate research and academic environment to prepare highly qualified specialists in the field of geology, environment, water and geoinformatics.
