CPR Training Workshop at Al al-Bayt University

The Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences at Al al-Bayt University, in cooperation with the Center for Sustainable Development and Women Empowerment, organized a specialized training workshop titled "Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)." The workshop targeted a number of administrative female staff members in the university's faculties, with the aim of enhancing health awareness and developing basic first aid skills that contribute to dealing with emergencies and saving lives.

Dr. Sanaa Jaraideh, Assistant Dean of the Faculty, emphasized during the opening of the workshop the importance of spreading health and first aid culture among various segments of society, noting that CPR skills are vital skills that individuals should possess due to their pivotal role in responding quickly to emergencies and increasing survival rates.

Hanan Shdeifat, Head of the Community Development Division at the Center for Sustainable Development and Women Empowerment, also praised the effective partnership with the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences in implementing initiatives aimed at raising awareness, building capabilities, and empowering women intellectually. She also highlighted the promotion of a first aid culture and the consolidation of the concept of social responsibility, which positively reflects on the level of health awareness and readiness to deal with various emergencies.

The workshop, presented by Dr. Shaima Abu Tawous from the Department of Allied Medical Sciences, included theoretical lectures and practical training covering the basics of CPR, mechanisms for dealing with cases of cardiac arrest and respiratory arrest, in addition to the correct steps for providing first aid according to the latest approved practices. This contributes to raising the participants' readiness to deal with emergencies inside and outside the workplace. She commended the participants' keenness to benefit from the specialized training programs offered by the university.

At the end of the workshop, certificates of appreciation were handed over to the participating female university employees.
