Sponsored by the University President, Al-Bayt University celebrates the eightieth anniversary of Independence Day and national occasions.


The university president, Professor Dr. Osama Nusier, sponsored the national celebration marking the 80th anniversary of the independence of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs in cooperation with the "We Are All Jordan" Youth Commission in Mafraq. The event was attended by the Dean of Student Affairs, Professor Dr. Ahmed Al-Elimat, university vice presidents, deans of faculties, department directors, and a large number of university staff and students, at Al-Bakhit Auditorium in the Faculty of Business.

The ceremony, which began with the Royal Anthem, saw the university president, Professor Dr. Osama Nusier, renew allegiance and loyalty to the wise Hashemite leadership. He congratulated His Majesty King Abdullah II and the Jordanian people on this occasion, which embodies the journey of a proud nation built by the Hashemites on foundations of wisdom, moderation, and achievement. He recalled the great sacrifices made by the pioneers of construction and giving over the past eight decades, highlighting Jordan's advanced stage of modernization and development under His Majesty King Abdullah II, with a belief in investing in human capital, education, and innovation. He also expressed pride in the role of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince as a Hashemite model for Jordanian youth.

Dr. Nusier also pointed out that the university has given special attention to the requirements of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and digital transformation, and has updated its plans to prepare graduates with future skills and the ability to keep pace with global changes.

Then, the Dean of Student Affairs, Professor Dr. Ahmed Al-Elimat, delivered a speech on behalf of the Deanship, in which he welcomed the attendees. He emphasized the bright national milestones of independence and the journey of a nation driven by will, forming a narrative of a nation forged with determination and pride, and a deeply rooted, proudly built state led by the Hashemites under the leadership of His Majesty the Beloved King, the Dean of the Hashemite household. Al-Elimat stressed the sacrifices made by the Banu Hashem over the decades, noting the Arab Army's role as a fundamental pillar in building and maintaining the Jordanian state.

The national celebration, in which university staff expressed their pride and honor in this dear national occasion, included patriotic poetic segments by the poet Dr. Harbi Al-Masry that expressed the meanings of independence. Artist Ghaleb Khoury and the University Choir presented a collection of folklore performances and Jordanian national chants, with which the audience interacted, in an atmosphere filled with feelings of pride and patriotism for the nation and its wise leadership.

On the sidelines of the event, the university president, Dr. Nusier, accompanied by the Dean of the Faculty of Business, Professor Dr. Turki Al-Fawaz, and the faculty staff, inaugurated the National Holidays and Occasions Sculpture, which is closely linked to the symbolism of the Arab Army and was erected at the entrance to the Deanship of the Faculty of Business.

At the end of the immortal national occasion, which was managed and presented by the Director of the Department of Political Education and Educational and Social Guidance, Abdul Halim Abu Dalbouh, flags, pictures, and sweets were distributed to the attendees in celebration of this occasion.
