Based on the vision of Al al-Bayt University in supporting scientific research and encouraging its students to participate in international forums, a selection of students from the Prince Hussein bin Abdullah Faculty of Information Technology participated in the activities of the Twenty-Sixth Arab International Conference on Information Technology (ACIT'2025), which was held at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport in Alexandria, Egypt.
During the conference, two distinguished research papers were presented and discussed in the field of artificial intelligence applications in medical diagnosis, under the supervision of Dr. Suheila Abu Awaida, where the participations were as follows:
The first research paper entitled:
Explainable Deep Transfer Learning for Multi-Class Knee Osteoporosis Diagnosis Using Grad-CAM and DenseNet121
Prepared and presented by the distinguished student: Khaled Shukri Hamad
The study aimed to develop intelligent models for diagnosing osteoporosis in the knee with high accuracy while interpreting the results medically.
The second research paper entitled:
Automated Brain Tumor Classification using ConvNeXt-Tiny and Colorized MRI
The student Khaled Shukri Hamad reviewed its results on behalf of the research team consisting of:
Student Khaled Hamad
Student Lana Al-Issa
Student Rayan Abu Qaddoum
Their joint study dealt with the use of modern deep learning techniques to classify brain tumors automatically with extreme accuracy while interpreting the results medically.
