Within the framework of linking the theoretical aspect with practical application, Dr. Yasmine Madi organized a field educational visit for students of the Faculty of Technical Sciences within the course "Introduction to Supply Management" for students majoring in Supply Management, to the Arab Company for the Production of Soft Drinks and Juices, located in the Free Zone - Zarqa.

The factory management welcomed the students, where the leading role of Mr. Ahmed Freihat, the General Manager of the factory, and Engineer Firas Abu Al-Haija, the Administrative Director, were introduced, along with Engineer Nour Oreeqat, the Director of Quality Control and Quality Assurance (QA & QC), who provided a comprehensive explanation of the quality policies, food safety standards, and the mechanisms of inspection and follow-up adopted within the factory.

This visit aims to enable students to directly view the mechanisms of supply management and supply chains in the food industry sector, and to learn how raw materials move through the various stages of production to the final product and its distribution in local and global markets.

During the visit, the students were briefed on the supply management system in the factory, starting from the selection of suppliers and the supply of basic raw materials such as water, sugars, flavors, and packaging materials, through quality control and adjustment procedures before, during, and after production, to storage and distribution operations. The students also learned about inventory management methods and cooling and recycling systems that ensure the preservation of product quality before being offered in the markets.

The students also listened to a comprehensive explanation about the role of Quality Management and Quality Assurance (QA & QC), where it was found that the company has several prestigious international certificates in food safety and quality systems, including ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, HACCP, and the Halal certificate, which reflects the company's commitment to the highest international standards in production and the supply chain.

The introductory program included highlighting the company's export expansion, as it exports its products to more than 54 countries around the world, in addition to reviewing recent international strategic partnerships, most notably the cooperation with Perfetti Van Melle to produce and distribute Chupa Chups soft drinks in the Gulf and Middle East markets, which enhances the company's competitiveness and highlights the importance of effective coordination in supply management and logistics.

Dr. Yasmine Madi confirmed that this visit comes in the context of preparing students for the labor market by introducing them to the real challenges facing supply management, such as ensuring the continuity of raw materials, dealing with the requirements of international expansion, and achieving a balance between cost, quality, and operational efficiency.

At the end of the visit, the students expressed their appreciation for this applied educational experience, which contributed to deepening their understanding of supply management concepts and linking them to the industrial reality, stressing the importance of such visits in building their professional skills and enhancing their readiness to work in various production sectors.
