Al al-Bayt University Organizes Future Makers Forum in the Faculty of Engineering
Al al-Bayt University, represented by the Faculty of Engineering, in cooperation with the IEEE branch at Al al-Bayt University, organized the "Future Makers" forum on the university campus, in the presence of a group of academics, representatives of professional institutions, and students.
The forum's activities began with a speech delivered by the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Safa Al-Husban, in which she expressed her pride in the advanced achievements made by IEEE in Jordan, praising its achievement as the best branch in the world, and stressing that this excellence is a national and global achievement that reflects the efforts of students, academics, and university administrations. She also stressed the importance of student work and its role in developing students' skills, refining their personalities, and preparing them for the labor market.
The forum was attended by Engineer Majdi Al-Amoush, head of the Jordan Engineers Association branch in Mafraq Governorate and Chairman of the Mafraq Governorate Council, Dr. Milad Al-Alimat, head of the Department of Renewable Energy Engineering, Dr. Wael Qassas, and Engineer Farhan Al-Khawaldeh, who participated as a moderator and presenter in the forum, in addition to the Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology at Al al-Bayt University.
During one of the sessions, Dr. Wael Qassas spoke about the importance of IEEE for students, reviewing the branch's most prominent achievements and participation rates, in addition to its branches and specialized societies. He also highlighted Jordanian success stories that have achieved a presence and impact at the global level, stressing IEEE's role in empowering students and building distinguished professional paths for them.
The forum included a number of specialized sessions, including an IEEE session, an engineering session, and an information technology session, which focused on modern developments in engineering and technological fields and the importance of aligning education outputs with the needs of the labor market. The program also included an interactive competition for students aimed at enhancing creative thinking and teamwork skills.
The forum's activities concluded with the opening of company pavilions, where students had the opportunity to learn about the training courses and professional opportunities available, and to communicate directly with representatives of participating companies and institutions, which contributes to preparing and qualifying them for practical life.
The organization of this forum comes within the framework of Al al-Bayt University's efforts to support quality student activities, strengthen partnerships with professional bodies, and prepare students to be future makers in the fields of engineering and information technology.
