Al al-Bayt University participates in the first scientific forum for postgraduate students in medical laboratory sciences in Jordanian universities
Al al-Bayt University participates in the first scientific forum for postgraduate students in laboratory medical sciences in Jordanian universities, under the patronage of the President of the National Center for Combating Epidemics and Communicable Diseases, His Excellency Dr. Adel Al-Balbisi, which was held at Jadara University on Saturday, November 29, 2025.
The President of Jadara University, Professor Habes Al-Zaboun, inaugurated the activities of the scientific forum, which was organized by the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences, represented by the Dean of the College, Dr. Alia Al-Khawaldeh.
Al al-Bayt University was represented in this forum by the research team consisting of: Dr. Taghleb Al-Dheeb, Head of the Department of Life Sciences, student Fatoun Hussam Al-Tair, and student Hanin Fawzi Nawafla, under the direct supervision of the Dean of the Faculty of Science, Professor Ahmed Saber Abu Zeitoun. The team’s participation confirms the university’s keenness to enhance its research presence, support postgraduate students, and view the best university theses and scientific research in Jordanian universities.
A number of prominent academic and medical figures participated in the forum, including the Secretary-General of the National Center for Combating Epidemics and Communicable Diseases, accompanied by a delegation from the center, in addition to the President of the Medical Laboratories Association, Dr. Enam Sbeihat. A number of deans of colleges and representatives of laboratories, hospitals, and companies supporting the forum also participated.
The forum was also attended by faculty members, in addition to a large number of postgraduate students representing various Jordanian universities, which reflects the importance of the event in promoting scientific research and academic exchange between educational institutions.
The ceremony opened with a speech by Professor Habes Al-Zaboun, President of Jadara University, during which he affirmed the university's role in supporting scientific research and developing postgraduate programs, noting the importance of the forum in enabling students to present their advanced scientific research and contribute to enriching scientific knowledge in the field of laboratory sciences, including molecular, microbial research, and the study of biological compounds.
The speech of the President of the University was followed by a speech by Dr. Alia Al-Khawaldeh, Dean of the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences, who stressed the importance of this forum as a platform for exchanging scientific experiences, and encouraging students to innovate in the field of laboratory medical sciences research, stressing the role of the college in preparing academic and research cadres capable of meeting contemporary health challenges.
The ceremony concluded with a speech by the patron of the forum, His Excellency Dr. Adel Al-Balbisi, President of the National Center for Combating Epidemics and Communicable Diseases, who praised the university's efforts in organizing this scientific forum, stressing the importance of cooperation between universities and health institutions to promote scientific research and develop laboratory studies in the Kingdom, in a way that contributes to preventing diseases and facing future health challenges.
The forum was distinguished by the presentation of a group of advanced scientific research presented by postgraduate students, which dealt with multiple topics in molecular and microbial research and the study of biological compounds, which allowed the exchange of ideas and experiences between students, professors and experts in the field, and affirmed the role of scientific research in advancing medical and scientific progress.
The forum also included a scientific exhibition in which a group of medical and health institutions and agencies participated, which presented the latest products and technologies supporting the medical sector.
This exhibition contributed to highlighting the latest developments in the field of medical and laboratory services and health equipment, which added value to the work of the forum and enhanced the exchange of experiences among the participants.
