Professor Dr. Abu-Sailyk, Dr. Arar, and Dr. Habashneh represent Al al-Bayt University in a Jean Monnet Projects workshop.

Al al-Bayt University participated on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, in a specialized workshop to prepare proposals for Jean Monnet projects supported by the European Union, organized by the Erasmus Plus National Office at Zarqa Private University.


The event witnessed remarkable attendance and active participation from representatives of all Jordanian universities. The workshop was opened with a welcoming speech by Professor Alaa El-Din Sadiq, Vice President of Zarqa Private University, in which he explained the active role of the Erasmus National Office in encouraging cooperation between Jordanian academic institutions and building the capacities of their employees, as well as sharing their experiences and valuable advice on how to prepare sophisticated project proposals capable of international competition, according to ideas and priorities that serve the educational process in Jordan.


The holding of this workshop comes within a series of introductory and training workshops for the preparation of projects held by the Erasmus Plus Office annually, where the workshop identified the importance of Jean Monnet projects in transferring the experience of European unity and its implications on various aspects of transactions within and outside the scope of the European Union. The topics of project proposals varied between politics, economics, law, health, languages, information technology, responding to the challenges of climate change, and many other areas of knowledge.


For his part, Professor Ahmed Abu Al-Haija, Director of the Erasmus Plus Office, reviewed the positive impact of the program on Jordanian universities by providing them with the opportunity to cooperate and build broad partnerships with European universities and transfer their experience to educational institutions in Jordan in the areas of capacity building, enhancing youth skills, and academic and student exchange.


Al al-Bayt University was represented by Professor Ali Abu Alsaleek from the Faculty of Educational Sciences, Dr. Tariq Arar from the Faculty of Foreign Languages, and Dr. Amjad Al-Habashneh from the Faculty of Business.
