As part of the Omani Cultural Days organized by the Omani Research and Studies Center at Al al-Bayt University, the Faculty of Sharia at the Jordanian University hosted His Eminence Sheikh Abdul Rahman bin Ahmed bin Hamad Al-Khalili, a member of the Board of the Research and Studies Center at Al al-Bayt University and Director of the Directorate of Committees and External Relations in the Office of His Eminence the Mufti of the Sultanate of Oman.

He gave a lecture on the rules of architecture and construction in books of jurisprudence and Omani sources. At the beginning of the lecture, Sheikh Al-Khalili presented an introduction to the Ibadi school of thought in terms of its origins, historical context, history, doctrinal and jurisprudential principles, and figures, starting with the founder of the school, Imam Jaber bin Zaid Al-Azdi, who was taught by senior companions, then the rest of its figures, explaining the reason for attributing the school to Abdullah bin Ibad Al-Tamimi, who was a spokesman for the school.

After that, during his speech, he dealt with the rules of architecture and construction in books of jurisprudence and Omani sources, and during the meeting he touched on highlighting the importance of urban planning and the establishment of cities that are compatible with human needs in terms of preserving the rights of residents, houses, roads, the environment, and others.

For his part, Professor Dr. Abdul Rahman Ibrahim Zaid Al-Kilani, Dean of the Faculty of Sharia at the Jordanian University, welcomed the honorable guest and stressed the importance of the nation uniting to face the external challenges that threaten its existence, and called on the students of the Faculty of Sharia to learn about and study the schools of jurisprudence.

The guest delegation included Dr. Hilal Al-Kharousi, a researcher in religious affairs in the Office of the Mufti, in addition to Dr. Saleh Al-Zyoud, representing the Omani Research and Studies Center at Al al-Bayt University.​​
