Admission Requirements for Academic Programs in the Department
Bachelor's Degree in Geographic Information Systems and Remote Sensing:
Admission requires a high school diploma in one of the following majors (Scientific, Scientific/Medical, Scientific/Engineering, Scientific/Pure Science, Agricultural (Old Plan), Agricultural (New Plan), Industrial (Old Plan), Industrial (New Plan), Nursing, Comprehensive Health, Informatics (First Track), Informatics (Second Track) with a minimum GPA of 65%. Graduates of a diploma in Geographic Information Science and Remote Sensing may also enroll in the Geographic Information Systems and Remote Sensing major.
Master's Degree in Geographic Information Science:
Admission requires a bachelor's degree in Geographic Information Systems and Remote Sensing, Surveying Engineering, Applied Geography, or its equivalent with a grade of at least "Good" from an accredited university. The study must be full-time. It is required to provide evidence of his success in one of the foreign language proficiency exams (TOEFL, IELTS, French, German) or an English language level exam equivalent to the international exams held by the university. If he does not meet this, he may be accepted provided that he registers for a qualifying program in the English language for (6) credit hours in the first semester he joins.
