Al al-Bayt University hosted the Safe Winter campaign launched by the Public Security Directorate, with the aim of enhancing traffic safety and raising awareness among drivers about the importance of ensuring the technical readiness of vehicles with the advent of winter, and the accompanying weather conditions that may affect driving safety on roads.

The implementation of the campaign comes within the framework of fruitful cooperation between the university and the Public Security Directorate, and the keenness of both sides to provide facilitating services to university employees who own vehicles, by conducting technical inspections of their vehicles within the university campus, which saves them the time and effort required to review specialized centers, and allows them to benefit from this service easily and conveniently.

This initiative embodies a model of purposeful institutional cooperation to facilitate services provided to employees, and enhance partnership between national institutions, in a way that meets their needs and contributes to spreading awareness of the importance of adhering to traffic safety requirements.

The campaign included conducting technical inspections of vehicles to ensure the validity of windshield wipers and water sprayers, front and rear lights, turn signals, reflectors, reverse lights and brakes, in addition to the safety of tires, side mirrors, seat belts and window lifters, and the readiness of heating systems that contribute to preventing fog formation on the glass. The inspections also included the availability of safety requirements for vehicles of all types.

The campaign comes within the efforts to enhance traffic culture and consolidate safe behaviors among drivers, and reduce traffic accidents resulting from technical malfunctions, which contributes to protecting lives and property and ensuring the safety of road users during the winter.

The campaign emphasizes the importance of conducting periodic maintenance of vehicles and not neglecting any technical defect, as adherence to safety requirements is a shared responsibility, contributes to providing a safer traffic environment, and reflects the importance of cooperation between Al al-Bayt University and the Public Security Directorate in providing direct and facilitating services to university employees and the community.
