Al-Bayt University participates in the National Forum for the Defense of the Arabic Language, affirming its presence in issues of the Arabic language and its future.

Al al-Bayt University, represented by the head of its Arabic Language Department, Dr. Nart Qakhon, participated in the National Forum for the Defense of the Arabic Language, which began on Tuesday, 18/8/2026. The forum was organized by the National Project for the Defense of the Arabic Language, in partnership with the Ministry of Education, Human Resources Development, and the Arab Organization for Education, Culture and Science (ALECSO), an organization of the League of Arab States. A number of academics, experts, and those interested in Arabic language issues and its status in education, culture, and society participated in the forum.

The university's participation in the forum comes within the context of its interest in Arabic language issues, strengthening its presence in the academic and societal spheres, and discussing the challenges it faces in education, scientific research, and public life.

The forum discussed the central role of language in building cultural and civilizational identity, enhancing unity and social cohesion, and its connection to development, education, and the localization of sciences and knowledge. This makes defending it connected to the project of cultural and scientific renaissance, not merely preserving a tool for communication.

Al al-Bayt University's participation emphasized the importance of moving efforts made to serve the Arabic language from the level of symbolic defense to building effective educational, scientific, and institutional policies that enhance the proficiency of its speakers, expand its ability to absorb and produce modern knowledge, and reconnect the language to its natural function as a tool for thought, science, culture, and shaping the future.
