The Faculty of Arts Launches the "Spring of Arts" Initiative to Promote a Sustainable University Environment

Within the framework of strengthening the spirit of belonging and teamwork within the university campus, the Faculty of Arts and Humanities launched the "Spring of Arts" initiative. This initiative stems from the concept of one family that brings together students, faculty members, and administrators. It aims to beautify the college's facilities and enhance its green environment, reflecting aesthetic and cultural values.

The Dean of the Faculty, Professor Saeed Abu Khader, explained that the initiative carries an ambitious vision that seeks to build a vibrant university community in which environmental beauty is integrated with human interaction within a sustainable family framework. Its mission focuses on promoting a culture of participatory work through the implementation of environmental and aesthetic initiatives that contribute to improving the quality of university life and consolidating positive values.

He indicated that the initiative is based on a set of goals, most notably strengthening the concept of the faculty family and working in a spirit of teamwork, involving various components of the faculty in joint voluntary activities, as well as improving the aesthetic and healthy environment, spreading the culture of sustainability and environmental awareness, in addition to creating interactive spaces for cultural and social activities.

The initiative includes a number of activities such as developing the front garden of the college by planting trees and roses in a participatory manner, designing welcoming green corridors, in addition to preparing the internal garden to include green student sessions, a "Spring Reading Corner", and spaces dedicated to cultural interaction.

The head of the committee, Dr. Maysoun Zaghloul, stated that the "Spring of Arts" week will include a literary forum featuring poetry and literary meetings, as well as the implementation of beautification works including painting sidewalks and planting ornamental trees and roses, which will contribute to adding an aesthetic character to the college's facilities.

Dr. Khader Al-Sarhan confirmed that the initiative will positively reflect on improving and beautifying the entrances to the college, in cooperation with the Logistics Support Department, pointing out that the first day witnessed the implementation of cleaning the internal and external squares and the entrance to the college, in addition to turfing works, which enhances the healthy university environment.

On the sidelines of the week, the "Spring of Arts" competition was launched under the supervision of Dr. Anas Al-Amoush, which aims to capture the most beautiful photograph reflecting the beauty of nature and the spring atmosphere in the university. The "Spring of Rhymes" poetry competition was also launched, which encourages college students to compose the most beautiful verses of poetry inspired by this season.

This initiative is a model of participatory work that combines the environmental and cultural dimensions, which enhances the spirit of social responsibility and contributes to creating a more vibrant and beautiful university environment.
