A scientific workshop in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities entitled "The Jordanian Population Census for the year 2025 AD"

The Department of Applied Geography at Al al-Bayt University organized a scientific workshop on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, in the Faculty of Arts and Human Sciences, entitled "The Jordanian Population Census for the year 2025," under the supervision of Dr. Bashar Al-Khawaldeh for students of the course on Population Migration Studies and its Applications and the course on the Geography of the Arab World.

During this scientific workshop, Dr. Al-Khawaldeh presented a broad scientific overview of the population census, enhancing students' understanding of the mechanism of its application in various Arab and international countries, especially in Jordan. The relationship between the population census and the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) program was explained, and the most important demographic indicators in Jordan during recent years were presented and analyzed, interpreting their spatial and temporal variations.

The workshop was attended by the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Human Sciences, Dr. Ayed Taran, the Head of the Department of Applied Geography, Dr. Maisoun Al-Zghoul, as well as Dr. Hamza Bani Khaled, Dr. Atef Al-Ghumaid, Engineer Aida Al-Khalif, and a number of students from the Department of Applied Geography, emphasizing the importance of these scientific workshops in enhancing their academic and scientific skills.

It is worth noting that this workshop is part of the efforts of the Department of Applied Geography to enhance the applied aspect in various geographical courses, linking theoretical knowledge with practical application, and enabling students to understand modern techniques in these courses.
