The Faculty of Technical Education at Al al-Bayt University organized a meeting and welcoming ceremony for its new students, with the aim of informing them about the college's objectives, programs, future plans, and the specializations it offers. The meeting was introductory and conversational, attended by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Majed Ibrahim, with the aim of highlighting university regulations and instructions, mechanisms for dealing with university life, and introducing students to the governing standards and laws at the university.
The meeting was held in the Prince Hassan bin Talal Amphitheater in the College of Engineering, in the presence of new students and the college family of faculty members.
The Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Majed Ibrahim, during his speech, conveyed the President of the University’s congratulations to the students on their acceptance, noting that the University is a good seed planted by the builder King, and that this cohort will bear the name of Hussein bin Abdullah II, and that the University reaps the fruits of this blessed planting every day.
He explained that the college’s mission stems from an authentic Jordanian narrative that carries within it national belonging and pride in identity, and that its vision is to graduate technical competencies armed with science and equipped with the skills and knowledge that qualify them for the local and regional labor markets.
He also directed the students not to rely on social media as a source of guidance, but to be leaders for themselves.
For her part, Dr. Sanaa Al-Jaraydeh stressed the importance of follow-up and commitment, noting that being in the College of Technical Sciences means striving for academic excellence, and that the breadth of the college’s fields gives the student an opportunity to be a distinguished graduate by organizing time and adhering to the instructions and regulations within the university, stressing the need to build a positive relationship with faculty members in the college.
Dr. Moataz Al-Khazaaleh, Head of the General Requirements Department, presented an explanation about the most prominent things that enhance the personality of a diploma student, addressing general notes related to the comprehensive exam, explaining the required instructions and the mechanism for performing the exam, in addition to reviewing the most important points, plans, specializations, modern technical materials, and the conditions and requirements for bridging in the future.
Student Mayar Abu Smaqqa also stressed the need to invest in the opportunity to be at the university, make effort, diligence and perseverance, and adopt creative and innovative ideas.
At the conclusion of the meeting, which was presented and managed by Dr. Wateen Abu Alim, the Public Relations and Media Department presented an explanatory film produced by its staff about the establishment and founding of the college.
The meeting witnessed an open dialogue between the college family and the new students, during which the Dean of the College answered their questions and inquiries, stressing the college's constant readiness to provide all forms of academic and guidance support to ensure the success of their university career.
