Faculty of Law at Al al-Bayt University Holds a Lecture on the Legal Regulation of Disguised Public Loans
As part of its regular educational activities, the Faculty of Law at Al al-Bayt University held a lecture on "The Legal Regulation of Hidden Public Loans."
Professor of Administrative Law Dr. Mwaffaq Al-Mahamid spoke about compulsory loans as a financial tool for the state to provide rapid financing for public expenditures in times of crisis, explaining their economic and social effects and the challenges they impose related to financial rights and social acceptance of this obligation.
Al-Mahamid stressed the need to activate the legal controls for these loans in a way that guarantees justice and transparency in use and repayment, stressing the importance of awareness campaigns that explain the reason for imposing the loan and its importance in supporting the public interest.
At the end of the lecture, which was moderated by the head of the Public Law Department, Dr. Qassem Al-Aoun, and attended by members of the faculty of law, the lecturer answered questions and inquiries from the audience.
