The Prince Al-Hussein bin Abdullah Faculty of Information Technology at Al al-Bayt University organizes a CTF Boot to Root competition in the field of cybersecurity.
The Prince Al-Hussein bin Abdullah Faculty of Information Technology at Al al-Bayt University organized the "CTF Boot to Root" competition in the field of cybersecurity, on Sunday, May 13, 2025, with the participation of a selection of the college's students interested in the fields of information security and penetration testing.
The competition aimed to develop students' practical skills in facing security challenges, by dealing with realistic scenarios in a competitive environment. The competition included challenges in the areas of cryptography, reverse engineering, malware analysis, and network security.
At the conclusion of the event, the teams that won the top three places were announced, and the results were as follows:
* First Place: Wiam Nabil Abdullah Gharaibeh
* Second Place: Ayah Abdullah Mahmoud Hamdi, Qassem Muhammad Mohsen Al-Dhiyabat
* Third Place: Hassan Nasser Saber Al-Omari
The competition was supervised by Professor Dr. Muhammad Jaradat, Dean of the Prince Al-Hussein bin Abdullah Faculty of Information Technology, Dr. Areej Al-Sharman, and Engineer Qader Al-Khawaldeh/Computer Center, and they praised the students' active role and great enthusiasm, stressing that this competition comes within the college's vision in supporting extracurricular activities and raising the efficiency of students to meet the requirements of the labor market in the field of cybersecurity. A group of students also participated in organizing this competition and contributed effectively to preparing the technical environment and coordinating the event.
The event concluded with the distribution of certificates to the participants and the honoring of the winning teams, amid an atmosphere of enthusiasm, a spirit of challenge, and technical creativity.
