President of Al al-Bayt University meets with the Belgian Ambassador to the Kingdom.
The President of Al al-Bayt University, Professor Osama Nusair, received His Excellency the Belgian Ambassador to the Kingdom, Mr. Serge Dickschen, to discuss aspects of scientific and academic cooperation between Al al-Bayt University and Belgian universities, in the presence of the Vice President for Community Affairs, Professor Hani Akhu Rsheida, the Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, Professor Muhammad Al-Khatib, and the Professor of French Language, Dr. Wael Al-Rabadhi. Dr. Nusair reviewed the programs offered by the university in various disciplines and the university's scientific projects, and expressed the university's aspiration for more scientific cooperation and student exchange with Belgian universities.
The Belgian Ambassador also met with students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages at Al al-Bayt University in the presence of the Dean of the Faculty, Professor Muhammad Al-Khatib, where Mr. Dickschen appreciated the great role played by universities in educating and opening up to the civilizations and cultures of different peoples and enabling their students to learn about them, reviewing the general historical and cultural features of his country, where Muslims represent 10% of its population.
The Belgian Ambassador praised the depth of the political relations between the two kingdoms and affirmed that the relations are distinguished and witnessing growth and development at various levels, and said that we seek to raise the level of scientific, academic and student exchange between the two countries.
On the sidelines of the meeting, which was moderated by Professor Wael Al-Rabadhi, a number of students from the Department of French Language recited the Belgian national anthem in front of the Ambassador, and a dialogue was held with the students during which the Ambassador answered their questions and inquiries.
