Al al-Bayt University participates in launching an international program to empower women in higher education
As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance the role of women in leadership positions, Al al-Bayt University participated in the launch of the "Leading the Way: Supporting Women into Senior Higher Education Leadership and Beyond" project, organized by Middle East University in cooperation with the British Council and London South Bank University.
The university was represented at this event by Dr. Ayat Al-Munaizel, Assistant Dean of the Faculty of Science, and Ms. Hanan Al-Shdaifat from the Center for Sustainable Development and Women's Empowerment. This participation confirms the university's commitment to supporting women's empowerment issues and establishing the principle of equal opportunities between the sexes in various academic and administrative fields.
The launch ceremony witnessed the signing of a formal cooperation agreement between Middle East University and London South Bank University. This agreement marks the beginning of a series of training programs and empowerment workshops aimed at developing the leadership and administrative skills of female academics in the region, thereby enhancing their presence in decision-making positions within higher education institutions.
The first workshop within the program was launched under the title "Strategic Leadership and Management," where the workshop discussed the regional and global contexts of women's leadership in higher education, addressed the most prominent challenges facing women in reconciling leadership requirements and academic identity, and reviewed the best global practices in this field.
Al al-Bayt University affirms that its participation in such international initiatives comes in the context of its vision to build strategic partnerships with global educational institutions, which contributes to strengthening its academic position and supports its efforts to empower women and prepare them to assume influential leadership positions.
