The Chemistry Department at the Faculty of Science at Al al-Bayt University hosted Professor Anthony Ryan from the University of Sheffield, UK, to deliver a scientific lecture on "Green Chemistry," attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Science, Professor Raed Banat.

During the lecture, Professor Ryan discussed methods of using carbon dioxide gas and converting it into organic compounds (polymers) with the help of plant waste, to benefit from them in multiple industries, which contributes to environmental protection, reducing global warming and climate change, in addition to enhancing the industrial capabilities of countries.

The lecture was moderated by Dr. Muhannad Masa'deh, and attended by the Vice-Deans of the Faculty, Professor Yaqoub Yaqoub and Dr. Safwan Al-Sharaa, along with a number of faculty members and students of the Faculty.
