A lecture at the university about the role of the Hashemites and His Majesty King Abdullah II in Palestine and Gaza.

The Deanship of Student Affairs at the university organized a lecture on the role of the Hashemites in Palestine and Gaza, during which retired Major General Talal Al-Dalabih spoke about the role of His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein and the Hashemites in Palestine and Gaza, as well as in preserving Palestine. He informed the Jordanian community about the ongoing Jordanian efforts led by His Majesty the King, supported by Crown Prince Hussein, towards their Palestinian brothers in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, in addition to the humanitarian, relief, and medical assistance carried out by the Jordanian Armed Forces under royal directives to clarify Jordan's political and diplomatic role in all Arab issues, foremost among them the Palestinian issue and Jerusalem, and what is happening in Gaza, which is subjected to brutal aggression by the Israeli occupation. This event is part of the university's efforts to highlight these Jordanian initiatives supporting the steadfastness of the Palestinian people.

At the beginning, the Deputy Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Hayel Al-Muqaddad, requested that the attendees stand for a moment of silence in honor of the souls of the martyrs who fell in Gaza. He pointed out that the Armed Forces are a prestigious institution that all Jordanians take pride in due to its significant place in their hearts throughout history, represented by the sacrifices made by the noble Hashemite kings and our valiant Jordanian people in defending the pure soil of Palestine. Al-Muqaddad also spoke about the role of His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein in defending Palestine in all international forums and the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination, as well as His Majesty's significant efforts to resist aggression in steadfast Gaza and provide all kinds of support to Gaza and its people.

Retired Major General Al-Dalabih stated that the Hashemite support and custodianship over Palestine dates back to the 1920s, emphasizing the rights of the Palestinians and the support for Palestinian refugees to live peacefully in their land like the rest of the world. He pointed out that the Hashemite role extends beyond diplomatic and political dimensions to include humanitarian, medical, and international aspects to defend the rights of the Palestinian people and support the Palestinian Authority, underscoring the strength of Jordanian-Palestinian relations.

He referred to the Hashemite reconstruction of Islamic and Christian sanctities in Jerusalem and Palestine, noting that the custodianship and reconstruction are historical efforts that followed the brutal attack on the Minbar of Salah al-Din, which His Majesty has donated to restore multiple times. He highlighted that the historical positions of His Majesty King Abdullah on the international stage began with mobilizing Jordanian diplomacy to the world, with the Jordanian leadership offering significant support to the Palestinian people to restore their legitimate rights on Palestinian soil and return to the borders of June 4, 1967.

Al-Dalabih also addressed the political support and backing for a two-state solution from the Hashemite leadership, referencing the strength of His Majesty's speech at the United Nations concerning the regional situation and the substantial efforts made by the military field hospitals affiliated with the Royal Medical Services. He provided statistics indicating the number of people who received treatment and surgeries, as well as air drops in Gaza that delivered humanitarian and medical aid, in addition to numerous convoys sent to support the people in Gaza, and the experiences of the Armed Forces members who were injured while providing medical services there, confirming that Jordan, as leadership, government, and people, is the first to reach Gaza and has borne the high costs of supporting the people there in light of the brutal war.

Alongside the lecture, a photo exhibition was held showcasing the stages of the establishment of the Jordanian state and the significant achievements of the Hashemite kings from the Great Arab Revolt to the present. Two film materials were also shown, one produced by the Military Media Directorate and the other depicting the university's participation in air drops over Gaza, which illustrate Jordan and His Majesty's role in supporting the steadfastness of the people in Palestine and Gaza, organized by the Military Media Directorate at the General Command of the Armed Forces, "the Arab Army."
