The Center for Sustainable Development and Women's Empowerment at Al al-Bayt University, in collaboration with the Arab Network for Physical Education and the Empowerment and Development Support Center, organized a dialogue session to evaluate the 2024 parliamentary elections. The session was sponsored by the university's Vice President for International and Community Affairs, Professor Hani Akho Arshida, and attended by the center's director, Dr. Hatim Al-Masaydeh, several former and current members of the governorate council, the coordinator of the Youth Commission of All Jordan, and several council members. The aim was to provide a comprehensive perspective on the Jordanian electoral experience and contribute recommendations for improving the electoral process and practice, held in the Bukhit Auditorium at the university.

Akho Arshida stated that the university is pleased to collaborate with the Independent Election Commission, emphasizing that successive generations need dialogue and participation in all its forms, whether social, cultural, or political. We must be active partners in decision-making to avoid making mistakes.

Professor Ziad Al-Shuqari, representative of the Independent Election Commission, provided an overview of the commission's work, highlighting two main points: the progress made in the political empowerment of women and youth, and how to build upon the electoral experience to enhance democracy.

Director of the center, Dr. Hatim Al-Masaydeh, discussed the university's efforts before and after the parliamentary elections, marked by active participation through holding numerous seminars, workshops, and training sessions in collaboration with the Independent Election Commission, and providing expertise from the university's team in training and active participation in election committees and organization.

At the end of the dialogue session, which was presented and moderated by Sohaib Khamaisah and Abeer Darouzeh, a discussion took place during which attendees raised several questions in the presence of a large number of university students. The dialogue participants answered questions and inquiries from the students and attendees.
