كلية الآداب والعلوم الإنسانية تقيم فعالية مسابقة حول العالم

As part of the student initiatives and activities for the academic year 2024/2025 at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, the Vice Dean for Administrative Affairs and Quality Assurance, Professor Anwar Al-Khaldi, inaugurated the event “Competition Around the World,” which took place in the Hassan Auditorium at Al-Bayt University.

Al-Khaldi emphasized the importance of encouraging students to participate in such activities, which play a role in strengthening their personality and broadening their cultural and literary horizons through extracurricular activities at the university. He added that one of the most important aspects of a student's character is the cognitive aspect, which relates to the amount of knowledge and information that the student accumulates throughout their studies, as well as the life experiences that they encounter, which teach them inadvertently and contribute to changing their behavior and adding new cognitive skills to their scientific and cultural knowledge base. This is one of the college's tasks: to develop, enhance, and advance this aspect in students throughout their years of study by means of its teaching programs designed and implemented for this purpose.

For her part, Dr. Maysoun Al-Zghoul, Assistant Dean for Student Affairs and Community Service and coordinator and supervisor of this competition, pointed out the importance of these curricular and extracurricular activities in shaping the personalities of students and connecting them to their university environment. She added that there are many plans and upcoming initiatives that the college is working towards in order to achieve these goals in the interest of the students and the university.

The competition was attended by the Vice Dean for Scientific Research, Dr. Ayman Al-Tahani, Dr. Khidr Al-Sarhan, Head of the History Department, and Dr. Ayed Tarayan, Head of the Geography Department, where Professor Anwar Al-Khaldi and the department heads engaged in asking questions to the students and distributing gifts to them.
