Plans of the Department

  1. Starting the agricultural plan for the year 2021/2022 as of November 2021 until the completion of all the agricultural operations required for fruit and forest trees on campus focusing on olive trees to provide the necessary services for them such as pruning, routing, fertilizing and irrigating so that the Department of Agriculture can be a productive department.
  2. Increasing cooperation between the university, local community, National Center for Agricultural Research and Extension and Syndicate of Agricultural Engineers-Mafraq Branch, in order to take advantages of the experiences, seminars and workshops related to agricultural business.
  3. Serving the (26,000) olive trees by carrying out various agricultural operations (plowing, routing, weeding, pruning, fertilizing and so on).
  4. Establishing an agricultural nursery to produce ornamental seedlings and annual plants.
  5. Attracting investors to raise the agricultural reality.
  6. Digging a soil pond next to the new well.
  7. Preserving the aesthetic view of the university by planting and taking care of the trees and plants.
  8. Increasing the foundations of cooperation with the Ministry of Water and Irrigation by holding workshops for the benefit of students and employees with regard to rationalizing water consumption and future projects.

  • Using water harvesting ponds to collect rainwater and transfer it to the purification plant pond for optimal use in irrigating trees.
  • Serving the (26,000) olive trees by carrying out various agricultural operations (plowing, routing, weeding, pruning, fertilizing, landscaping and prevention).
  • Landscaping the new Faculty of Economics and the entrance of the presidential edifice.
  • Selling various agricultural products including olives, cane trees and grapes.
  • Planting (100) Paulownia trees near the main gate.
  • Planting (1000) olive plantations as a gift from the Ministry of Agriculture.
  • Cooperating with faculties, institutes, centers and departments at the university to beautify them with ornamental plants.
