AL AL-BAYT UNIVERSITY is strategic in its actions in pursuit of a commitment to sustainable development and the active engagement with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. This policy focuses on the University's commitment which is responding to the challenges of sustainable development by mainstreaming Israeli sustainability in all its aspects within the University operations, promoting sustainability values among the University inner circle, and dealing with social and economic problems. The fundamental goal of the above efforts in AL AL-BAYT UNIVERSITY is to contribute towards the global inclusive development by set creating resilient and sustainable university community in alignment with the SDG's.

• Policy Statement

AL AL-BAYT UNIVERSITY acknowledges the following principles and standards for the practice of sustainable development in its school:

Environmental Stewardship:

1. AL AL-BAYT UNIVERSITY considers concern for the environment as its first priority so as to undertake activities that reduce the ecological footprint of AL AL-BAYT UNIVERSITY, encourage conservation of biodiversity, and lessen the impact of global warming and protect the environment.
2. AL AL-BAYT UNIVERSITY also seeks to achieve carbon neutral status, lower the level of energy used, raise the proportions in the use of renewable energy and sources and modes of transportation and strategies for lower emissions of greenhouse gases.

Social Inclusion and Equity:

1. AL AL-BAYT UNIVERSITY engages in such actions as social inclusion and inclusion as well as equity through advocating for the participation of all members of the university regardless of their social status with respect to education as well as other resources and opportunities needed in the university.
2. AL AL-BAYT UNIVERSITY takes part in programs aimed at leveling the inequalities, enhancing diversity and inclusion, and battling poverty and benefits the society.

Quality Education and Research for Sustainability:

1. AL AL-BAYT UNIVERSITY applies the principles of sustainability in its training… its research programs and co-curricular activities with the objective of equipping and preparing students with the relevant skills and knowledge required to tackle the sustainable development issues.
2. AL AL-BAYT UNIVERSITY builds and fosters interdisciplinary research and innovation that helps solve the environmental and societal problems articulated in the SDGs and seeks cross-sectoral partnerships.
