In order to enhance the incorporation of sustainability within our strategic framework and operational practices, the AABU president established the Sustainability Steering Committee in 2023 to engage decision-makers from all faculties in developing and implementing an effective system-wide sustainability policy.

The Sustainability Steering Committee is dedicated to ensuring that the staffing of AABU's sustainability policy initiatives and programs is diverse, representative, and inclusive of the communities involved in these initiatives and programs.

The Sustainable Steering Committee is an essential component of the Sustainability Development Office. The committee will meet throughout the year on a regular basis to examine our sustainability progress and priorities, as well as to ensure accountability at all levels of our university.
