The Role of Social Studies Teachers in Reducing the Methods of Cyberbullying among Students in the Directorate of Education of Bani Obaid Province
The study aimed at identifying electronic bullying methods among students in the Bani Ubaid District Directorate, and the role of social studies teachers in reducing electronic bullying methods among students, in order to reveal individual differences in the responses of the research sample, and to achieve the objectives, the study uses an analytical descriptive approach, and a questionnaire that consisted of two parts: the first part was devoted to measuring the degree of prevalence of cyberbullying methods among students and amounted to (13) items, and the second part was devoted to measuring the role of social studies teachers in reducing students? cyber bullying. Which included (14) paragraphs. The research sample consisted of (100) social studies teachers both male and female. The results showed that the degree of prevalence of cyber bullying methods among student from the point of view of social studies teachers was low, and that the role of social studies teachers in reducing cyber bullying methods among students was high. There were no statistically significant differences due to the specialization variable at the bachelors? stage (history, geography). The study presented a set of recommendations, the most important of which is encouraging social studies teachers to hold discussions about the phenomenon of cyber bullying and its negative effects on students.
