Overview of the Department
The Public Relations and Media Department is one of the most important departments at the university. It serves as a vital link between the university's academic and administrative components and the local and international community. Its aim is to promote the university's role and its academic and research mission, in addition to providing all cultural and media services, including news, interviews, and coverage, while creating a positive image and reputation for the university among the target audience.
Public relations fulfills its duties by welcoming university guests, preparing for conferences and seminars, communicating with the local and international external community, enhancing partnerships and networking with relevant institutions in society, highlighting national, religious, and official events, hosting and receiving university guests, creating a suitable atmosphere for them, facilitating their stay as guests in Jordan, providing necessary care and services, and preparing programs and visit schedules to promote the university.
* In terms of media: its framework of work is defined by preparing suitable segments through the university's radio station, attracting influential personalities through talk shows, preparing news bulletins and daily press reports on the university's scientific, cultural, artistic, and sports activities, covering all student activities, internal and external scientific achievements, and disseminating this information through all visual and audio media, as well as through its electronic library. It also works on covering events and providing the necessary logistical and technical media preparations for occasions, activities, seminars, meetings, conferences, as well as visual and audio broadcasts, exhibitions, events, publications, advertisements, and printed materials.
Cultural relations focus on building partnerships with both the local and external communities, showcasing their excellence and development on a local and global scale, taking pride in their achievements, and maintaining their academic reputation. They also prepare cultural and intellectual publications, as well as electronic magazines.
The Public Relations Department is one of the most important departments at the university; it was established at the same time as the university in 1993. This department acts as a vital link between the university’s academic, scientific, and administrative components, and between the university and the local and international communities. It is directly connected to the university president and handles all matters related to:
- Visual and audio media, as well as electronic and print media.
- Cultural relations, including academic agreements and international relations.
- Public relations, such as hospitality, receptions, conferences, and seminars.
Additionally, the department regularly prepares newsletters and press reports about the university's scientific, cultural, artistic, and sports activities, covering all student activities and internal and external scientific achievements, and distributing this information through all media channels and its electronic library.
The Public Relations and Media Department is responsible for providing local, Arab, and international media—both print and broadcast—with all media and promotional materials related to the university.
