Department in brief

Consistent with the mission and vision of the Princess Salma Faculty of Nursing, the department's vision is based on the fact that nursing is the art, science, and discipline of caring for people through the promotion, maintenance, and restoration of health and wholeness across the life span. Nursing education, therefore, is both experiential and theoretical. It draws from adult learning principles which relate to the learner as an active participant with progressive responsibility for independent learning. The department's educational activities are planned and executed in a dynamic manner that stimulates intellectual inquiry, independent judgment, critical thinking and the internalization of professional values as well as skills.
