Master’s in English\Literature and Criticism
1- to make graduate students familiar with, and comfortable, using the methods and materials of literary research.
2- to provide student with an in-depth knowledge of modern critical theory
3- to cover English poetry from its medieval beginnings until the present.
4- to cover a wide range of 18th & 19th Century British novels of major authors of these periods.
5- to cover the evolution of the dramatic conventions with specific emphasis on the Classical, Renaissance, and Modern periods.
6- to provide a review of the history and development of Comparative Literature both in Europe and the U.S.A.
7- to introduce students to a wide range of literary works that are written in English language world-wide.

to explore decolonizing narratives of identity and social relations in a
variety of literary genres including novels, stories, drama and poetry.
