This study investigates the effect of human engineering on occupational security and safety in Jordanian industrial companies, focusing on Manaseer Oil & Gas Company as a case study. Human engineering is measured through four dimensions: work organization, posture and movement, environmental factors, and information and operations. Data were collected from 188 employees and analysed using appropriate statistical techniques. The results show that employees? perceptions of the application of human engineering, as well as of occupational safety standards in the company, are at a medium level. The findings further reveal that posture and movement, environmental factors, and information and operations have a statistically significant positive effect on occupational security and safety, whereas work organization has no significant effect. The study recommends establishing a specialized human engineering unit at each station to supervise workers? safety and station safety, and to increase training programs in human engineering in order to enhance employees? awareness and practices related to occupational safety.
