Adjustable Input Impedance Dipole
In this paper, a novel dipole design with an adjustable input impedance is presented. The proposed dipole is
designed to have additional arms attached at the edges of the
feeding gap for the purpose of controlling the input impedance.
Varying the dimensions of the two arms enables the tuning of the
input impedance. This design is highly suitable for systems where
the input impedance of the antenna needs to be directly matched
to the input impedance of a receiving circuit. The proposed
antenna eliminates the need for matching circuits which may
deteriorate the efficiency of the entire system
